On the Diane Rehm show, just now, Bay Buchanan nails Romney's appeal to the womenfolks.
Her quote, as well as I can remember it verbatim, explaining why it is that women are more likely to vote for Obama,
"Men are risk takers, whereas women need a secure and guaranteed source of income"
Can these Republicans open their mouths without insulting vast swathes of the population? Seriously? Can they?
Sorry for the length of this diary, but I think it's important, when such an important mouthpiece as Bay Buchanan says something this stupid and insulting to*51%* of the populace (i.e. all women), for it to be documented.
A transcript will probably be up on the Diane Rehm website later in the day.
Here is the link to today's show.
I think this fits into the "how many segments of the population can Romney expect to insult in his bid for the presidency theme?"
Let's count down on how many so far:
Latinos
African Americans
People who don't pay Federal Income Tax (which may include himself)
His own dad
Women
Palestinians
British people
Any more suggestions? I'll include them in updates.
Any much longer of a campaign season, and the Venn diagram of the people Romney hasn't insulted would be a guy named "Jeff" who lives in North Dakota
