I always regretted that I did not join in on the protests in Washington on the eve of the Iraq invasion in George W Bush’s presidency. For the next four years my priority will be to make my voice heard and my body seen. I will work and travel and donate in the midterm elections. We need to start recruiting candidates for each and every vacancy now. We need to work as hard as we have ever worked.
First we should demand a senate vote on Merrick Garland. That is the rule of law, that is our right, and there are two months left. They will have four years. This is our President’s choice.
We need to march and yell and refuse to pay our taxes. We need a name. We need a rallying cry. We need a uniform. We need to take our country back. We need to make all of the allies we can, even unlikely allies. We need to disrupt business as usual. We need a general strike.
