Trump voters thought they were getting somebody to put the house in order, who would make sure the lawn was mowed and the fences were painted, but what they actually got was that weird relative who comes over when the real grownups are away. It’s the guy nobody is sure who he’s related to, who gropes your sister and steals the spare change from the drawer near the kitchen table. It’s the one who drinks the cooking wine and puts the cigarette burns in the carpet.
Trump isn’t strong. He is weak. He isn’t hard working. He is lazy. His faults are failures of character. He was born rich and was protected by his rich Daddy all his life. He’s never had to work a day in his life at a real job.
He can’t get a better healthcare program than Obamacare put in place because he is too weak to stand up to the Republicans in Congress who are the lapdogs of the corporations. He is too lazy even to try.
Trump was great on TV. He played a strong decisive figure who could get things done. Too bad it was TV. Having him run the country is like having the guy who plays the doctor on the alka-seltzer commercial give you a rectal exam. The actor doctor is all, like “how does my profile look when I’m bending over the guerney?” That’s Trump. We need an actual doctor, who knows which end is the mouth and which end is south.
We need the Democrats. We need the grownups to come home and fix the house, or, like having an actor give you a colonoscopy, it’s all going to come out bad in the end.
